FAQ

1. Where does the massage take place?

The massage takes place in your home, where your dog feels safe, comfortable, and relaxed in familiar surroundings. I come to you, so there is no need to worry about travelling or causing unnecessary stress for your dog.

2. How long does a session last?

A typical session lasts 45–60 minutes, depending on your dog's individual needs and willingness to cooperate.

Many dogs need a few sessions to become familiar with the massage process, experience its benefits, and get to know me and feel comfortable in my presence.

3. Do I need to prepare my dog for the massage?

Yes. I recommend following a few simple guidelines:

  • Ideally, your dog should not eat for 1–2 hours before the massage. Fresh drinking water should always be available.
  • It is advisable to take your dog for a walk beforehand so they can relieve themselves and feel more relaxed during the session.

4. How often should my dog receive a massage?

The recommended frequency is always individual and depends on your dog's health, the reason for the massage, and the goals we would like to achieve together.

  • Relaxation massage: Sessions may be scheduled regularly, for example once a week, or at intervals agreed upon individually.
  • Rehabilitation massage: The treatment plan is always based on your veterinarian's recommendations, medical findings, and your dog's current condition.
  • During the first appointment, we will discuss everything in detail and create a massage plan tailored to your dog's individual needs.

5. How do I know if my dog would benefit from a massage?

  • Relaxation massage can be beneficial for virtually any healthy dog
  • over one year of age. It can even be a wonderful birthday gift for your four-legged companion.
  • Massage helps relieve muscle tension, supports natural recovery, promotes overall well-being, and can become a valuable part of your dog's regular healthcare routine.
  • If you are unsure whether massage is suitable for your dog, I will be happy to discuss everything with you without obligation and assess your dog's current condition and individual needs together.
  • If you have any doubts, you can also consult your veterinarian.

6. Can I stay with my dog during the massage?

Absolutely. In fact, I highly recommend that owners stay with their dog during the first few sessions.

Your presence helps your dog feel more secure and relaxed, and in some situations I may also ask for your assistance during the massage.

7. Can puppies receive massage?

Relaxation and rehabilitation massage is recommended for dogs from one year of age. I do not provide massage for puppies.

There is no upper age limit - massage can be especially beneficial for senior dogs, helping them maintain mobility, comfort, and a good quality of life.

8. Will the massage hurt my dog?

Definitely not.

The purpose of the massage is to improve your dog's comfort, relaxation, and overall well-being. Massage should always be a positive and pleasant experience.

9. What if my dog is afraid of strangers or doesn't like being touched? Can puppies receive massage?

That is completely understandable.

Every dog has its own personality, past experiences, and pace when it comes to building trust.

I never force a dog to do anything. My highest priorities are your dog's sense of safety, emotional well-being, and establishing mutual trust. Every dog is given as much time and space as needed to become comfortable with me.

The massage only begins once your dog feels relaxed and secure.
